“Valentines Dance Night”
Sunday, February 10, 2013
6:00 to 9:00PM
Latour Room of Nazareth Hall - Marywood campus
The University Jazz Ensemble
are pleased to announce a “Valentines Dance Night” featuring Mr. Chris DiMattio, well known area vocalist and Sinatra stylist, singing many of your favorites from “Old Blue Eyes” with the Marywood musicians. Join us for a wonderful evening of big band favorites and well loved standard tunes, all while dancing to the music of a live big band!!
At the “February Dance Night”, the Jazz Ensemble will be asking for a $5.00 per person admission fee for a special project. The students are collecting funds for the
benefit of Mr.Kenneth Brader, a former trumpet professor in the Department of Music, Theater, and Dance. Mr. Brader has been very ill with a combination of serious conditions which have made it impossible for him to work and he is without health insurance. As a member of the extended Marywood family, the Jazz Ensemble will devote all of the proceeds of this event to Mr. Brader to help with the large expenses he is facing.
We are sure you understand and will be eager to offer the admission fee for such a worthwhile cause. We will, of course, return to our normal “free admission” policy at the March “Dance Night” on Sunday March 10, 2013.
Please plan to attend and join us for an evening of great music, dancing, and fellowship…all devoted to the larger mission of reaching out to “one of our own”.
There will be light refreshments and beverages available for purchase from the student music education association.
Nazareth Hall is located at 2300 Adams Avenue in Scranton, Pennsylvania on the Marywood University campus. See you there…
